Mediation is a very cost effective process for resolving disputes and minimizing organizational risks. The Deal Mediators charge the following fees:
- Telephone consult (up to 30 minutes): FREE
- Hourly rate for mediation, arbitration, and coaching: $300
- Travel by car (over 50 miles) for mediation, arbitration or coaching: Federal government employee reimbursement rate per mile
- Travel by plane or Amtrak: reimbursement of actual costs plus two hours of hourly rate
- Ombuds services: varies
For mediations or arbitrations, the hourly and travel costs are split equally between the parties unless agreed to otherwise in writing in advance.
